Boys will be boys

So let me just start by saying my husband in the hardest working, smartest person I know. He is a wonderful man who I love more than anything. But... there are a few things that really get on my nerves about my lovely husband. Only a few... and the positive far outweigh the negative. However, those few negatives really work my nerve! I mean, what would a husband be without some disgusting, make you want to vomit habits?

You know I can deal with the toilets. I mean I"m sure the whole species have difficulty getting all of their urine in the toilet. I have tried to get him to sit down but he refuses. I think I'm going to teach Rye to sit and that way his wife will thank me one day.

Anyhow, there are some other things that I'm not sure if other males do or not but we really need to find a cure for these. Let me just discuss these a bit further for your pleasure...

Taking the lead at number1. Spit cups. Yes, spit cups. You see, he puts this nasty tobacco in his mouth and then spits this brown juice into coffee cups. It is beyond vile. This gets me a bit worked up because for one they get spilt and there are brown spots on the carpet that do not come up. Second of all, he hardly ever washed them out and then I have to pour the tar looking spit down the drain! And lastly, there are always little tiny specks of tobacco flakes or whatever in the bed where he sleeps in the morning. It looks like dirt in the bed which I clean and make every day! Would that get on anyones nerve or what?

Okay, number 2. Leaving bags of food open so that they become stale. Things like bread, boxes of crackers and especially bags of chips. I do not know why he can not seem to get the bag closed? I think he likes stale food and thats why he doesnt' take the time to close it correctly. I'm serious, he loves flat coke. It could have been opened for a week in the fridge and he will still drink it! I happen to like my chips crispy and my coke fizzy. Anyways, closing packages is something I am trying to help him accomplish.

Number 3.... and I know my girlfrend J. husband does this too. He leaves everything beside the bed. Everything he takes off at night is beside the bed. Well actually he also thinks we have an invisible hamper in the kitchen corner... thats where his scrubs usually end up at night. But for real, there will be like 4 or 5 things beside the bed every morning. I just usually leave them there and try to see how high the stack gets before he picks it up. Well, the moral of the story is coming next. Ryder happened to find a little something inappropriate C. threw beside the bed the other night and it wasn't clothing! Just think about it and you'll figure it out...
I quickly snatched it out of his hand and proceeded to throw it in the trash... where it should have been put in the first place!

Boys will be boys I guess. But that is a lesson that we will not need to discuss for 18 years or so....I feel much better now that I have all this off my chest.
