Chads best man, Ben, from our wedding and his girlfriend came to hang out with us on New Years. We couldn't find a sitter so we decided to take Rye with us just out to dinner. It was WAY past his bedtime and he was beyond tired and cranky. So he demanded to get out of his highchair and walk around. This is the first experience I've had out to eat when he can actually walk away from me. So, needless to say I have alot to learn. Such as, DON'T let him out of the highchair! He kept wanting to walk into the kitchen. Kind of cute but not when I picked him up and he proceeded to arch his back like he is doing some kind of yoga move. So as if arching his back isn't bad enough, he squeeled like a pig in heat on top of that! Staying calm I would take him back over to the bench by the front door to see if he would just chill and play there. Nope, back into the kitchen! Oh dear, I have alot to learn!
When we got back home and put little piggy to bed we all played this really fun game called Catch Phrase. It is kind of like Charades and Hot Potato all put into one. So you give your partner clues and they try to guess the word. If they guess it you pass it to the next partner pair. There is a timer too and it will buzz at anygiven time so you don't want to be left with the game disk. Well, I was partners with Ben on the last round and the word was Big Ego. I was describing it like this. "This is what a guy has if they think they are really hot... the first word is the opposite of small. " He guessed "Big." Then I was like, "Yeah and if a guy thinks he's really cool and hot he has a big...what?" So then he guessed, "Big Cock!" Nice try Ben ;)
It was really funny... we ended up losing anyhow. It's an awesome game to play if you have people over though!
